OUR HISTORY

After giving birth to my first baby, I experienced as a mom that there is no comprehensive childcare. I then decided to bridge this gap and started a daycare centre myself.

Because of my love for children, my pre-primary education and my psychological background, it was very important for me to provide a comprehensive service for the working mother.

This service had to include kindergarten education up to Grade R as well as daycare for smaller babies as well as holiday care for all children since mothers must also work during holidays.

My husband and I sold our house in Pretoria and moved back to Bloemfontein to buy this plot. We lived in a rented house and, at one point, sold our car to get enough money to complete the 1st building phase.

We derived the name “Kapie” from the “skapie” (the squirrel lying on the cloud), as the children named the squirrel “Kapie”.

Staff members make it their daily priority to provide loving attention and stimulation to the children.

Vision

To equip the child with enough self-confidence, manual dexterity and language skills so that everyone can fit comfortably into their environment and grow to their full potential.

Mission

To give each child individual attention and to fully develop their personality, gifts and input. To give the working mother peace of mind in the knowledge that her child is safe and secure.

OUR PREMESES

Our premises are located in a safe and peaceful environment.

We have 4 classes and accommodate each age group separately. Our playgrounds are extra large and divided by age so proper supervision can be carried out.

The principal’s office is equipped with CCTV to ensure that the respective class programs are followed and to check that there is proper supervision and care.

The premises are also securely fenced, and the services of a security company are just a button away.

There are lovely large trees and lawns that provide plenty of shade and play space while the children can play and frolic on a variety of devices.
